Michelle’s Bridal & Tuxedo to Host The CU Wedding Collective Experience at Hotel Royer

URBANA, Ill. — Michelle’s Bridal & Tuxedo is bringing together the Champaign-Urbana wedding community for The CU Wedding Collective Experience, an interactive wedding event taking place Sunday, November 1, 2026, from 1–3 PM at Hotel Royer in Urbana.

Designed as a fresh take on the traditional bridal show, The CU Wedding Collective Experience will give engaged couples the opportunity to connect with local wedding professionals in a relaxed, social and interactive setting while gathering inspiration for their wedding day.

More than 15 local businesses within the Champaign-Urbana wedding industry are already partnering for the event, representing a variety of wedding services and specialties. Guests can expect interactive displays, demonstrations, special experiences and multiple giveaways throughout the afternoon.

The event will begin with a Vendor Cocktail Hour from 1–2 PM, where guests can enjoy a complimentary cocktail, hors d’oeuvres and the opportunity to meet and interact directly with participating wedding professionals.

Rather than simply walking from booth to booth, guests will be encouraged to experience what each business has to offer through interactive elements, demonstrations, giveaways and opportunities to connect one-on-one with local wedding professionals.

From 2–3 PM, guests will move into Centennial Hall for a full runway fashion show presented by Michelle’s Bridal & Tuxedo, featuring bridal gowns, mother-of-the-wedding fashion, tuxedos and suits, special occasion looks, prom styles and more.

Participating businesses represent areas including florals, photography, jewelry, dj & entertainment, beauty, cakes, rentals, shop-able clothing boutiques, and other wedding-day services, with additional partners continuing to join the event.

Michelle’s Bridal & Tuxedo has served brides, grooms, families and special-occasion customers throughout Central Illinois for more than 40 years. The CU Wedding Collective was created as an extension of that commitment to the local wedding community bringing businesses together while creating an experience that feels inspiring, personal and valuable for couples planning their weddings.
