Glesco Electric, Inc. Named 2025 Small Business of the Year
CHAMPAIGN, IL – The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce proudly announces Glesco Electric, Inc. as the recipient of the 2025 Small Business of the Year award. The award was presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting, held Friday, October 24, at the iHotel and Conference Center in Champaign.

For nearly 35 years, the Chamber has recognized a Small Business of the Year that significantly contributes to the local community and economy. The purpose of this award is to honor a successful and growing company that has achieved its success through ingenuity, innovation and hard work. This year’s finalists included Autumn Field’s Adult Community, Glesco Electric, Inc., Good Judy’s Espresso & Bagel Bar, Michelle’s Bridal and Black-Tie Tuxedo, Stipes Publishing, LLC and The Literary. Each finalist demonstrated remarkable excellence, resilience, and community impact, and all continue to strengthen Champaign County's economic vitality.

Glesco Electric, Inc., a 100 percent woman-owned company with nearly 40 years of service, has powered many of the region’s most visible and vital projects, from the University of Illinois campus and downtown Champaign Plaza to solar farms and Willard Airport improvements. Every Glesco project includes apprentices, reflecting the company’s dedication to workforce development and ensuring skilled careers stay rooted in Champaign County.

Beyond its work sites, Glesco gives generously of time and resources to strengthen the community it serves, volunteering with veterans, supporting local law enforcement events, and investing in organizations that advance education and accessibility. They have been a proud member of the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce since 2008 and embody integrity, innovation and community spirit.
