Join The Immigration Project as volunteers at the IL Marathon
The Immigration Project is a non profit organization dedicated to providing affordable, high quality legal and social services to immigrants across downstate Illinois. We help individuals and families navigate complex immigration processes, offering support with citizenship, asylum, family reunification and legal representation for unaccompanied children. Our mission is to ensure that all immigrants, regardless of income, have access to justice and a path towards stability.
The Immigration Project is partnering with the IL Marathon in Champaign from April 24th - 26th, 2025. Our organization needs 10 volunteers at the Marathon weekend. By volunteering for us, you'll not only support the runners but also our mission.
Volunteers who join the effort will receive a special race weekend T shirt and a drawstring backpack. As a bonus, once they receive the backpack, they can bring it to the CPBP Popcorn Shop at 1506 S. Neil St. in Champaign to receive a 10% discount on their order every time they visit from the race weekend through the end of April 2025! And here’s another bonus: If they volunteer AND participate (run or walk) in any of the events, they qualify to be Double Dippers and can receive a free double dip of custard every month for a year from any of the Culver’s located in Champaign Urbana from May 2025 to end of April 2026.
