Electrician

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday-Friday 7 AM-4PM with occasional evenings and weekends.
FLSA Status: Hourly, Nonexempt
Duties:

Maintain professional appearance and attitude always.

Maintain required levels of truck stock items.

Utilize all safety precautions and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Clean truck as needed, including exterior washing and interior cleanings.

Operate company vehicle following all safety standards and applicable laws.

Utilize ServiceTitan without manager help.
-
Use ProCore without assistance.
-
Work well with customers, co-workers and other subcontractors.
-
Prepare job site by using drop cloths, moving obstructions and preparing surface areas.
-
Clean job site. Job site should be picked up and left in a condition better to that than when arrived.

Nail electrical boxes per blueprints and building codes.
-
Run low-voltage cables from media panel to specified box location as instructed by Lead Installer.
-
Loop circuits as directed by the Lead Installer.
-
Tie in outlets, lights, and switches (single pole and 3-way).
-
Build a standard residential service and/or have the basic knowledge to install metering in a multi-family setting.

Install branch circuits to meet National Electric Code (NEC).
-
Read voltage meters.
-
Complete electrical trim out in a house/apartment with minor supervision.
-
Pick up parts, supplies and equipment from distributors in company vehicle as needed or required.

Able to read and complete blueprints.
-
Complete all documentation such as: invoices, estimates, purchase orders, inventory, timecards and other information.

Communicate ideas to supervisors and homeowners as needed.
-
Work on standard replacements unassisted and unsupervised.

Problem-solve with limited supervision or guidance.
-
Check out materials on inventory listing from warehouse.
-
Install fire alarms from blueprint.
-
Document any changes during the installation process.
-
Lead a crew of Electricians professionally and efficiently.

Have knowledge of secondary electrical systems including planning additions or modifications on secondary circuits.

Repair electrical controls, industrial motor control centers, and programmable logic controllers 1000 volts and below.

Install and maintain motors, welding equipment, lighting fixtures, commercial generators, circuit breakers, and transformers.

Isolate defects in wiring, switches, motors, and other electrical equipment.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum of 3 year residential retro experience

Must pass drug test and background check.

Valid driver’s license and insurable through company insurance carrier

Communicate clearly in English both verbally and in writing

Work with tools used in the job in a safe manner

Construction background knowledge

Knowledge in basic wiring upgrades (high & low voltage)

Expanded code knowledge
-
Expert knowledge of Multi-Meter
-
Able to complete HVAC, Plumbing & minor electrical installs

Perform major installation with Senior Technician assistance.

Basic generator knowledge
Preferred Education and Experience: -
7+years of residential/commercial electrical experience
