The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce along with the Illinois Department of Employment Security and State Senator Michael Frerichs will host an Unemployment Insurance Workshop, "Meeting Business Needs", on Tuesday, Sept. 25 at the Champaign Public Library from 9:30 a.m. to noon. This event is free and open to the public.
This workshop will include:
- A "How To" Guide to completing the UI Protest Form with a subject matter expert
- Work Opportunity Tax Credits from $2,400 up to $9,000 for each individual new hire
- Illinois Labor Market Information
- Role Plays of actual cases of unemployment hearings
- Provides awareness of the hearing process
- Illinois Skills Match Labor Exchange System is an internet database designed for both the employers and employees to find jobs/ candidates that meet their criteria for employment
- Benefits of Employing Illinois Veterans
- New Employee Fidelity Bonding Program
- Re-entry Employment Services Programs and reducing recidivism in Illinois
