What is SharePoint? How do I use it? Learn what SharePoint can do for you as you explore the features of SharePoint 2013 with Philip Nyman. Through a series of realistic, hands-on, business-oriented scenarios you will learn about sites, lists and libraries and how to efficiently navigate and search for content. Discover how to save existing content to site libraries, master the use of versioning, check in/out, views and alerts to manage documents. Learn how Office 2013 integrates with SharePoint 2013 and how mobile users can now synchronize offline documents with SharePoint sites. Explore the built-in workflows and how they can be used to automate standard business processes. Course discussions will provide opportunities to exchange ideas and help evaluate which features of SharePoint will be the most useful in your working environment.
Prerequisites: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows 7 or 8 and Office 2010 or 2013. Office
2013 (Word and Excel) will be used in the course. No previous experience with SharePoint is required.
