Description
You will gain a better understanding of assessed values of property, how taxes are calculated, and the exemptions that are available to new and current property owners. And, if you're thinking about buying a home, you'll be very glad to have this information in advance. Presenter Stan Jenkins is the former Champaign County supervisor of assessments, former chair of the Champaign County Board of Review, and former manager of the Illinois Department of Revenue Property Tax Bureau. He'll present and discuss real-world examples and cover the appeals process.
