Open House Extravagaza

Elliott Counseling Group, a division of Kevin Elliott Counseling, is inviting the press and public to an Open House and Ribbon Cutting on Friday, June 27, 2014 from 4 – 7pm with the ribbon cutting at 5pm. The public is invited to meet the owners, Sandra Ahten and Kevin Elliott, as well as the therapists and staff. Music will be provided by Dorothy Martirano and friends, including Kevin Elliott, who is a musician as well as a therapist. Kevin Elliott Counseling, Inc. has been operating as a mental health clinic in downtown Champaign since 2002. Having grown from a sole practitioner to a corporation with a staff of 35 employees, the company purchased and renovated a building at 309 W. Clark, Champaign, in February to accommodate the growth of the business. In May, the company moved into the building and rebranded to Elliott Counseling Group, to better reflect the wide range of services offered by the many therapists who are employed with the company. In addition to general mental health services, the move to the new building has allowed the company to expand its Family Services resources, especially in the area of children's therapy, with enhanced Play Therapy and Art Therapy areas. The company has also augmented its Substance Abuse and Addiction Services, which now includes Intervention Services. The building at 309 W. Clark Street was the former offices of the law firm Nally, Bauer, Feinen and Mann.
