PLOT: Ah, Christmas time at Santa's Workshop in December. Could there be a happier place on earth? Not even Disney World would be able to match the holiday cheer with elves merrily making wondrous toys for all the little children, Santa making his list and checking it twice, gaily wrapped packages, goodies to fill stockings, carols and Christmas songs in the air. Well, maybe that's what the rest of the world thinks. Actually, December is crunch time in Santa's Workshop, with elves working overtime to meet demands. Mrs. Claus has been washing elf underwear for weeks, and she's getting a little cranky. She's also suspicious of an elf named Candy Cane, who's hanging around (and on) Santa just a little too much. Colleen Complayne, Santa's customer service director, is short staffed and short tempered. The company books are showing mounting losses, and she's been required to answer the Sleigh Bell Hot Line, wit
