Have you ever wondered what it actually takes to get food from the field to your table?
The Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Agribusiness Committee wants you to find out. Local entrepreneur and farmer Dennis Riggs describes what it takes to get food from the farm to your plate. Riggs is known for being on the forefront of technology helping to introduce wireless internet to Champaign County. He is a former radio personality; a local farmer; salesman for Champaign Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram; and the owner of the FIX-IT Wood Shop, Sidney Dairy Barn, and the world famous Moo Mobile. Riggs has given this presentation for many different organizations in and around Champaign County and at the University. It will be informative and entertaining. This breakfast is sponsored by Champaign County Farm Bureau and will be catered by Dish Passionate Cuisine; all proceeds will benefit the Champaign County Chamber of Commerce Business Disaster Recovery Fund.
