Kara is the agency’s fearless leader who in 2000 founded DCC Marketing, now a BEP Women Business Enterprise, by fusing business know-how and creative strategy to drive success for powerful brands. Her passion for connecting brand values to consumer needs has made her a serial success across an array of verticals in brand marketing & communications. She is committed to promoting diversity and serves on more community boards than you can count on your hands—including as Young Presidents’ Organization Past Chapter Chair and Regional Executive Board Member for the YPO Mid Americas. Kara also serves the executive boards for the Economic Development Corporation for Decatur & Macon County, VP of the Community Foundation for Macon County and on the Carle Illinois College of Medicine Advisory Council for Advancement.  She has a BS from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and is a lifetime member of the President’s Council at the University of Illinois.

Melissa leverages her diverse marketing experience to lead strategy, research & analytics, traditional media and digital media. Her experience spans across marketing disciplines including TV, radio, print, direct mail, CRM, social, organic search, paid search, promotions, events, partnership negotiations, loyalty programs and data analytics.. She brings a solid business sense to clients with her extensive experience in planning, placement, buying and marketing and has successfully grown the brands of Fortune 500 companies like Meow Mix, Milk-Bone, Butterball, Del Monte, Silk, Horizon Organics and Keebler throughout her 30+ years of experience. With a BA in Organizational Communication from Indiana University. She is also Google Ads, Google Search and Google Analytics certified.
