BSS Spring 2024 Series: A.I. and the ...
Description
In this talk we discuss artificial intelligence (A.I.) and its transformative impact on the future of work. We begin by introducing A.I., its applications and relevance to diverse industries. Highlighting current trends, we explore both the opportunities and challenges A.I. presents for small businesses, emphasizing increased efficiency and competitiveness alongside concerns of implementation complexity and potential job displacement. Through real-life case studies, we illustrate how A.I. integration can benefit small businesses, while also addressing the importance of upskilling and reskilling employees to navigate this technological shift. Ethical considerations, including data privacy and algorithmic bias, are underscored, alongside the irreplaceable value of human skills like creativity and empathy. We discuss collaborative opportunities and practical strategies for gradual A.I. adoption. Throughout, the presentation aims to engage the audience, fostering dialogue and providing actionable insights to help small businesses adapt to the evolving workforce landscape.
