DESCRIPTION:Stop in to celebrate pollinator week!\n\nPollinators are Important to Us All\n\nPollinators are animals like bees\, butterflies\, beetles\, birds and bats that move pollen from male to female parts of flowers.\n\nFlowering plants and their pollinators are responsible for more than 25% of the food we eat\, along with some medicines\, dyes and fibers.\n\nPollinated plants also provide food\, nesting and shelter for wildlife.\n\nPollinators are in Danger\n\nWithout pollinators\, natural ecosystems and agriculture would collapse.\n\nRight now pollinators are dangerously declining in numbers due to many reasons. One of which is loss of the native areas or plants that they need to survive.\n\nYou Can Help!\n\nWhile supplies last\, we'll be giving away catmint seeds\, because catmint and catnip are pollinators! Plant them to attract pollinators to your garden and to help support pollinator communities!\n\nBring Your Questions\n\nWe'll have volunteers from the University of Illinois Extension Office here to answer your pollinator questions\, chat with you about bees\, gardening questions\, and more!\n\nPlay Pollinator Related Games\n\nWe just so happen to have several board games involving pollinators. Stop in and play them all!\n\nGame passes are $5/person and can be paid when you arrive.
